Welcome to the Web Site of the
Skaneateles Youth Soccer Organization:

The Skaneateles Youth Soccer Organization (SYSO), is a recreational soccer league dedicated to teaching the game of soccer to both girls and boys from ages 4 - 12. The focus of our league is on learning and having fun. We strive to give players equal playing time and exposure to all field positions.

During the months of September and October, SYSO sponsors four recreational soccer divisions. Our youngest players,
a.k.a. "Bumblebees", are ages 4-6 and they participate in soccer drills and small-sided games on Saturdays only - no weekday practices. Players must turn 4 prior to August 1.

For our older players, grades 1-6, we offer a three-day per week schedule that includes two days dedicated to teaching and practicing both individual soccer skills as well as team strategies. Saturdays are our game days where kids get to try out what they've learned during the week.

To make this all happen, SYSO depends on many volunteer coaches and their assistants to dedicate their time and energy for a two-month period. SYSO offers coaching clinics along with a training manual outlining soccer skill goals by age division to support our coaches. If you're interested in coaching, please contact us directly. It's truly a great way to spend time with your child and support your community.

Thanks for your interest in SYSO.

Fall Practice Schedules

Final practice schedules are TBD; they will be set following the closing of our registration.

We will work to accommodate players' schedulers and match their team practices to meet family needs.

All games, including Bumblebees, take place Saturday mornings at Austin Park in Skaneateles.
